The Plunder Update: every heart has a price.

Lifesteal hearts. A lawless island. Duels with real stakes. The bay just got dangerous: here's how to survive it. Server address: play.shulkerbay.com (Java & Bedrock, 1.21+).

Yer heart is the treasure now

Every sailor starts with 10 hearts and can climb to 20. Strike down a rival in fair combat and ye take a heart off them, but the sea keeps her ledger fair: the rich bleed gold and the poor bleed little. Stolen hearts wash away with the tide: a common heart lasts a day, a Corsair heart a month, and the fabled Heart o' Gold beats forever. Run out entirely and Davy Jones takes ye, locked out of the bay for a spell, unless a crewmate pays yer ransom with /hearts revive.

The Land of Thieves

Beyond the bay lies the Pit, an island with no law and no mercy. Entry costs $150 and the toll bell rings for the whole server when ye step ashore. Full loot: everything ye carry can be taken. The island cannot be broken, but its chests restock with the tide, and twice a day (16:00 & 19:30 Europe/Berlin) the treasure tide buries three chests of real plunder.

Settle it at the Parley

/duel <name> calls a parley. Slide the gear toggle from SAFE to LOOT, stake Doubloons up to $2500 each, and the terms climb from Friendly Bout to Purse Duel to Blood & Loot to the full Broadside. Any change of terms un-readies both captains. The harbormaster escrows the gold and burns a 10% cut. Gear duels allow one golden apple and one pearl, no totems. Five minutes without a winner is a draw with a full refund. Fleeing forfeits everything.

Hearts · the lifesteal ledger

Yer heart is the treasure now

Every sailor starts with 10 hearts and can climb to 20. Strike down a rival in fair combat and ye take a heart off them, but the sea keeps her ledger fair: the rich bleed gold and the poor bleed little. Beat a captain sitting on 16 hearts and yer prize is grand; kick a sailor who's already down to 3 and ye get nothing but a bad reputation. That's on purpose: at Shulkerbay, bullying the small simply doesn't pay.

Stolen hearts wash away with the tide, so spend them or lose them. Run out entirely and Davy Jones takes ye: locked out of the bay for a spell, and repeat guests of the Locker wait longer each time. The way back is yer crew: anyone can pay yer ransom with /hearts revive.

The everyday loot of a fair fight.

The Land of Thieves

Beyond the bay lies an island with no law and no mercy. Entry costs $150, and the toll bell rings for the whole server when ye step ashore, so the wolves know fresh meat has landed. Everything ye carry can be taken; everything they carry can be yers.

The island itself cannot be broken, but its chests can be emptied. Every chest and barrel restocks with the tide, roughly every ten hours: iron and provisions mostly, and for the lucky, diamonds, golden apples… or a crate of TNT. Twice a day the treasure tide buries three chests of real plunder somewhere on the island, and finds count on the treasure leaderboard.

Settle it at the Parley

Got a score to settle? /duel <name> calls a parley. Face yer rival across the negotiation board: slide the gear toggle from SAFE to LOOT, stack Doubloons on the stake plank, up to $2500 each in hundred or five-hundred steps, and watch the terms climb the ladder. Any change of terms un-readies both captains: nobody gets tricked at Shulkerbay's table.

Friendly Bout

Stakes off. Honor only, bragging rights forever.

Purse Duel

Doubloons on the plank, winner takes the pot.

Blood & Loot

The toggle slides to LOOT: yer gear rides too.

Full Broadside

Everything on the table. No mercy, no take-backs.

Both ready? Sign the Final Articles and the harbormaster escrows the gold. The winner takes the pot minus his 10% cut, burned to keep the bay's economy honest. Gear duels hand each fighter one golden apple and one pearl: no totems, no second chances. Five minutes without a winner means a draw and a full refund. And fleeing the fight? That forfeits everything, coward.

  • stake up to $2500
  • 10% to the harbormaster
  • 1 gapple · 1 pearl · no totems
  • fleeing forfeits all
